Saving Point Reyes

Rosslyn, VA

All alumni, friends, and families are invited to join the UVA Club of Washington, DC’s Speakers and Panels Committee as they host a Professor Book Discussion on Saving Point Reyes: How an Epic Conservation Victory Became a Tipping Point for Environmental Policy Action featuring its author and UVA professor of practice of public policy, Gerry Warburg (PAR ’10), and Hannah Gavin (Col ’19, Batten ’20) and Savannah Rogers (Batten ’22). They will engage in discussions on NGO activism, environmental policy, and best practices for legislative advocates.

A moderated discussion will focus on a distinctly UVA product: a newly released, widely acclaimed study that emerged from Lawn classrooms, researched by Batten students, and enriched by classroom simulations. A light reception will follow.
