Staff from the University Press of Kansas will be manning a booth at the annual Kansas Book Festival at Washburn University in Topeka, where we will selling copies of our books on Kansas and the Region. The festival runs from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., inside and outside the library.
Speakers at this year’s festival include UPK authors Brian Daldorph, author of Words Is a Powerful Thing: Twenty Years of Teaching Creative Writing at Douglas County Jail (presenting from 9:00–10:00 a.m.), and Rebecca Ozier Schulte, author of The Jayhawk: The Story of the University of Kansas’s Beloved Mascot (from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m.).
